Cool Tool for School

I wanted to make a post on Finale. Finale is a music notation program which allows one to create, arrange, play, print, share and save music by the use of the computer. Finale makes the music notation process much faster compared to pencil and manuscript paper. Finale has advanced playback capabilities with the ability to import and export midi files, and music entry options.

I personally have experience using this tool in my music courses. Because of this, I believe that this is a perfect way to integrate technology in my future music classroom. I will be able to teach my students rhythms, notation, chords, key and time signatures, beats, instrumentation etc more efficiently and at a faster pace. My students will be able to use finale as well being able to expressing themselves through their own creations. There are also "hundreds of ready-made, educator-approved, customizable worksheets, individual and class room flash cards, 30 ear-training worksheets, and pieces of repertoire," all included in Finale which are printer friendly. Students will also meet the majority of the National Standards for Music Education with just this software alone.

Finale also has a you tube channel go check it out! http://www.youtube.com/user/FinaleOfficial
